Back in February, Terry and I were watching the winter olympics broadcast from Torino. It brought back many memories of the numerous American School of Milano ski trips that we shared as friends and families at resorts such as Madesimo, Monte Pora, Sestriere, Courmayeur, Santa Caterina, Saas Fee, Crans-Montana, Alpe di Mera, and many, many more. After much discussion with some of my Class '79 alumni over the last year, it was then that I decided to make a concerted effort to get a reunion established.

On April 24, I sent an email to as many familiar names as I could locate on the ASMilan website. My first response came from Scott Mowry ('78) who came up with the brilliant idea of compiling a web site in order to facilitate getting the information of the reunion to the masses...and that's exactly what he did, and has done.

By July 14, we had located over 400+ alumni and parents, and here is the web site documenting our First ACSM/ASM Reunion held in NYC July 14-16, 2006!!! I am so proud of everyone who made the effort to attend, and share in many of the fondest memories I own!

The weekend was beyond my wildest expectations. The void I felt as a result of leaving my friends in Milano after high school somehow was "filled up" once everyone started arriving. We shared two incredible days reminiscing, remembering, sharing and even creating new memories! It made me feel so proud to know that I, and my family, were part of the American community in Milano growing up.

Scott has done an amazing job capturing all of our memories on this web site! It is truly magical, and I know you will enjoy every minute wandering your way through the memories of the weekend! Thanks to all of you that contributed your photos!

Another coming highlight of my year is Terry and I are moving to England in late October. Also, my new, dear friend, Elaine Makris Williams ('75), will be joining me in Miami in April 2007 to plan ACSM/ASM Reunion DUE, with Tex ('74) and Mike ('75) Wollberg, which is tentatively scheduled for January-February 2008! Note the date!!!
